“Nothing about us without us.”

Centering the voices of survivors is essential in addressing the violence that happens in our communities. However, it must be done in ways that prioritize consent, safety, and the power a survivor has over their own story.

Research: Gendered Violence in Pagan Community

MJ is conducting research on the ways that the experiences of pagan and polytheist survivors overlap with their spiritual communities. My Own Words allows survivors to speak to their personal stories in their own voice; this research, based on opt-in and self-reported participation, allows us to take a step back to look at the larger tapestry to better identify the trends that are creating unsafe communities.
